Before CHIAROSCURO becomes a live performance, it begins here: a record built from contrast, restraint, imperfection, and signal found inside noise.
Perfectly Imperfect is a 12 track full length LP from Lamprey, a darker and more abstract extension of DJ Sulli's wider creative world. The record moves through downtempo, trip-hop, broken beat, dub pressure, cinematic bass, and left-field electronic space, favoring atmosphere over spectacle and tension over obvious payoff.
Originally conceived as a standalone Lamprey album, the project has now become the first formal musical entry in the CHIAROSCURO ecosystem. Its themes of erosion, memory, pressure, texture, and negative space connect directly to the larger live work: original music, black-and-white photography, visual projection, and a gallery-minded performance environment.
The cover image, a cracked desert floor beneath a darkened moon, frames the thesis visually. At first glance, chaos. With time, pattern. Structure. Signal. A hidden geometry revealed by shadow.

The LP is one piece of a broader CHIAROSCURO language: monochrome photography, original music, live performance, and the search for clarity beneath the static.
Each release in the series is intended to function as both music and artifact. The artwork is not packaging. It is part of the premise. The photographs, the sound, and the typography are designed to speak in one restrained visual system.
The long play is the live show: framed prints, projected visuals, a recorded opening movement, and a performed DJ set built from original material. Perfectly Imperfect is the first brick in that structure.
